Speaking Of Dame...
In territory where rappers are notoriously stultified, Dash and Cam teamed up to handle themselves well and to give O’Reilly a taste of his own medicine. Cam’ron handled the ignorant factor (the original occurrence of the infamous, “You maaaaaaaaaad, you maaaaaaaaad!”), while Dame brought intellect along with humor. They didn’t necessarily solve any hip-hop problems with this, but kudos are due to them actually holding their own against Bill O’Reilly without looking like complete idiots, along with being stupidly entertaining.

Snap
Say hello to the Mamiya 1954 – a pistol camera. Created in 1954 by Mamiya of Japan, only 250 were made for police training purposes, and were never offered to the public. They shoot half-size onto 35mm film, and had fixed-focus 45mm lenses. So it isn't for those who seek digis and hi-tech cameras of course. Although one of them was bid for $16,500 at Christies in 1993, this one is up on eBay for $25,000.

Coming To America Strikes Again
A day usually does not pass in my life without at least one Coming to America reference popping up in regular conversation. Whether it be me running my finger along the brim of Blagg’s fedora and saying “This is beautiful! What is that, velvet?”, or, more often, feeling myself bombing at one of my afternoon meetings and quickly segueing with “And while you’re all in the clapping mood…”, the movie has truly wormed its way into my everyday lexicon.
Which is why I'm nothing short of FLABBERGASTED following last night’s heart-stopping (literally, it was -24 degrees) football game between the Giants of New York and the Packers of Green Bay, as the game’s outcome had, in fact, been predicted nearly 20 years earlier by noneotherthan the Prince of Zamunda himself, Akeem.

ACABION GTBO MOTORCYCLE
Designer Peter Maskus is releasing the Acabion to the public in extremely limited quantities, although the price is steep at around $2.7 million US.
Plus, you have to wait for 3 years while the bike is built. Its probably just as well though. I mean, where would you drive it? And even if you could, the odds seem pretty high that you would end up as a stain on the road should you ever decide to open it up. The cockpit-like Acabion GTBO features a a 750bhp, turbocharged Hayabusa engine that is capable of hurling the bike down the road at 340mph with a 30 second 0-300mph acceleration time—and, amazingly, that speed is capped. If all of that wasn't eye popping enough, the bike is also fuel efficient. It can get 100mpg at 100mph and 25 at 250.

Some good news for the Apple fanatics among you: when Steve Jobs speaks, products drop. We’re proud to introduce the waif thin Macbook Air. The featherweight laptop, billed as the world’s skinniest, weighs in at only 3 pounds and comes with a 13.3″ display. The less than an inch thick computr rocks a full size keyboard, a built-in iSight camera, and all sorts of other bells and whistles that you can see for yourself here. Apple is already taking pre-orders with the cheapest of the lot priced at $1799. The other buzz worthy item that’s got Mac devotees in a tizzy is the new Time Capsule, which is basically an airport and a 500GB external hardrive all wrapped into one. It works in conjunction with Time Machine in Mac OS X Leopard, making it a great way to back up your info effortlessly and via wireless. It’s also available for pre-order. I just got a new HP but Im tempted to snatch one of these up anyways.
I Have To Get This!!!!!!!!!!!
If you've ever tried to sneak in a few hours at work, then you'll agree that all work places need the Transport Pod Bed.
Designed by Alberto Frias, the stylish Pod Bed comes equipped with a set of Anthony Gallo's four-inch Nucleus Micro speakers and a 240-watt MPS subwoofer. The Transport perceptual pod creates a sensual light, sound and space environment. The temperature-controlled waterbed surface also has the ability to perform a crazy LED light show. Moreover, the perceptual Pod can be integrated in with your iPod, computer or other source that will help you get a few hours of ultimate relaxation. It touts a glossy white exterior finish and a matching matte white interior finish. Hand-made, autographed and numbered for authenticity, the Transport Pod Bed is available in two sizes - six and eight feet in diameter. Priced at around $16,000, the Transport wants you to escape into a trance inducing field of color, music, and vibrations. I am all praise for the one, but if you feel like it's not your cup-of-tea, you can take a look at the popular Metronaps Energypod and the Napshell Sleeping Cocoon.
Where's My Snare?
This design for a drum sequencer interface by student Peter Bennett is super sleek & innovative.
It's simple too: each drum effect has a track on BeatBearing's plastic screen, and by dropping a ball bearing into a hole you activate that track's effect as a scanning light beam encounters it. When you watch a video of it in action, moving the bearings around in real time is like a kind of weird drum ballet:
BeatBearing currently only has 4 tracks, so highly complex sequences aren't really possible. Wonder what would happen, flying-ball-bearingly-speaking if you really turned the speed up....

The Jetsons?
Manned Cloud, the latest from French designer Jean-Marie Massaud, aims to be the world's first luxury hotel in the sky.
The double-decker carrier can travel 5,000 consecutive km, and is able to accommodate 40 guests (and 15 staff members) in its 1,100 sq. meter space. Developed with ONERA, the French national aerospace research body, Manned Cloud gives the jetsettiest of world travelers the opportunity to "explore the world without a trace: to re-experience travelling, timelessness and enhance the consciousness of the beauty of the world - and to experience spectacular and exotic places without being intrusive or exploitative" (save for the energy used to fly the thing). The flying hotel includes a restaurant and bar, lounge, library, fitness center, 20 rooms and terrace.

Really BIG Screen TV
The Panasonic 150-inch Plasma was officially unveiled by the brand at the CES 2008 conference. This 150-inch plasma display features a 2160x4096 pixel count. Although not much is known about its prices techie part, it is supposed that this colossal screen feeds on 220volts. And if you are already digging in to your pockets to buy this TV (assuming that you can accommodate this screen in your den) then you need to pause till 2009 (at least).

And Then Pop Bottles
Dom Pérignon is celebrating the New Year by launching a limited edition 1995 Vintage White Gold Jeroboam commemorative champagne.
Dom Pérignon's new gold-plated bubbly was first of all introduced to the rich and famous during their exploits and escapades on the edge of the Côte d'Azur. It was present during the celebrations attended by celebrities, models, and moguls. Notes of brioche and honey, mingled with fresh almond and apricot make for the deep, intricate flavor of the champagne. The modern design of the bottle has an engraving of the Dom Pérignon crest, wrapped in a sheath jacket of white gold. With only 100 bottles available worldwide, the jeroboams are being offered at The Matsuzakaya Department Store in Nagoya's Sakae-ku for about $11,005 a bottle. With one bottle already sold at Matsuzakaya, 20 bottles will be sold in Japan while others cost upwards of $40,000 in nightclubs in the United States.
Clearly Dope
The waterfall was created by a group of men for a public display in the heart of Tokyo in 2006. The architecture was designed by Tadao Ando.
The architecture was designed by Tadao Ando and the "waterfall" optical glass bar was designed by Tokujin Yoshioka and installation was performed by Olafur Eliasson. Together, this group of men created what appears to be a bar made from water. Using an optical glass block, the same material used in larger observatory telescopes, is crafted using unique techniques that creates the illusion of a "waterfall" while the light reflects off of the glass.
I Know I'm Late But.....
With only 20 being made and selling for 1 million Euro's (tax not included), the Reventon is by far the most unique Lamborghini yet.
Designed with the idea of modern aeronautics behind it, Reventon has style and vitality like no other car around. With its twisting design the Reventon has a seamlessly elegant movement. The carbon fiber material and the forward-facing air intakes allows for the 650 horsepower car stability, power and precision even at 340 km/hr. Not only is the design of the Reventon extraordinary, but the coloring created just for this model is unique. A mid opaque green/grey, which in the sunlight, shows a depth to the paint of the Reventon. The interior of the Reventon is equally stunning. With a G-force meter created solely for the Reventon, it shows the dynamic drive forces, longitudinal acceleration during acceleration and braking, as well as transversal acceleration around bends. The Reventon has many other amazing features unique to this car. Once again, Lamborghini has shown exactly how much dedication goes into creating a super masterpiece - Style, and perfection to another classic.
